It's time to get your claws out! Because you'll need plenty of grip for our new SmartWOD “Workout of the Month”.


“Cindy Clawford 😼” tests your muscles and your lungs in equal measure, so get ready for a For Time workout with 4 sweat-inducing rounds.


All you need is a rowing machine and a rope.

SmartWOD “Workout of the Month” – what is it?

With the “Workout of the Month,” we publish a new, challenging workout every month for what is arguably the fittest community in the world—the SmartWOD community.


There are three difficulty levels in total – from beginner to professional athlete. This means there is something for everyone, and you won't even have a chance to think of an excuse.


By the way: We always love it when you share your score with us on Instagram. Every now and then, we raffle off premium codes and goodies among everyone who comments. So it's worth joining in.



The SmartWOD workout of the month for June: “Cindy Clawford 😼”

SmartWOD Workout des Monats

4 rounds, each one for time. Sounds pretty easy at first, right? But you don't really have time to catch your breath. To be precise, there's only 60 seconds between each round.


Your task: Try to complete each round as quickly as possible. Ideally, always in roughly the same time.


What do you need for the workout?


  • A rowing machine

  • A rope

  • A little space

  • And maybe a furry buddy who will give you a high five afterwards


Tip: The rowing and burpees will really get your heart rate up. Take a moment to collect yourself before the rope climbs and use the breaks to gather strength for the next round.

Now you're probably eager to know exactly what the workout entails. Here are the three different levels:



Fitness level Performance (Pros)


4 Rounds, each for time: 


15/12 Row Calories

12 Burpee Over Rower

3 Rope Climbs


Rest 1 minute between rounds



Fitness level Fitness (Advanced)


4 Rounds, each for time: 


12/10 Row Calories

10 Burpee Over Rower

2 Rope Climbs


Rest 1 minute between rounds



Fitness level Starter (Beginner)


4 Rounds, each for time: 


10/8 Row Calories

8 Burpee Over Rower

2 Rope Stand-Ups


Rest 1 minute between rounds



Which level is right for me?

This time, it's mainly the rope climbs that will decide. If you don't feel confident yet, we recommend the Starter level, where you can work on your strength with rope stand-ups. Otherwise, your stamina will be the deciding factor.


  • You can do each round at your own pace, but keep in mind that the volume is higher at the Performance level.

  • Burpees over rowers require more concentration and also more strength, as you have to jump higher.

  • Choose a level where you can complete the 4 rounds safely and consistently.
